Course was absolutely stunning and in excellent condition. Pretty forgiving with open fairways on most holes. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice course to play in San Diego without paying Torrey rates. Paid $95 w/ a cart
Had the opportunity to play here not too long ago, this course is absolutely gorgeous nice and open too, the driving range is nice, the greens are very well maintained. The staff is always very friendly and welcoming. Recommend playing here if you love to golf.
In north San Diego up in Encinitas this course is on the easier side with wide open fairways that let you stay in bounds if you miss hit your drive but the greens can actually be a hit tough in an enjoyable way. Course was in great shape and they’ve got a great driving range as well as putting greens.
Hardest thing on this course is to get a good tee time because they have kept pricing reasonable even though their competitors in Orange County and San Diego doubled their pricing in the pandemic, which was a pleasant surprise. For a foursome, carts, 2 pairs of Travis Matthew shorts, it was still all under $400. Great value and price for such a nice course.
They even had ocean holes and sprawling views that were breathtakingly beautiful.
Absolutely love this place!

Worst customer experience to date.
We just finished up our round, and we are all JC members and play here often. We were harassed by Billy (want to be marshal) for 11 out of our 18 holes for pace of play. He started on hole 6 and gave us a friendly half a hole behind (totally fair, and we picked it up, and he even watched us all tap in pars and gave us 2 thumbs up and told us not to rush).
“No need to run” - Billy
He then shadowed us for the next 2 holes and began screaming at us on hole 8 with no group behind us or even in sight.
We finished in 4 hours and 20 minutes, and there was never a group behind us or anyone waiting to tee off the entire day.
Billy was rude and condescending, making the entire experience incredibly unpleasant. He would come up to us and tell us that we were behind pace, even though we were clearly not. He rushed us the entire day and made the entire round incredibly uncomfortable (Even still we all shot in the 70's....)
We are very disappointed with the way that Billy treated us. We are paying JC members, and expect to be treated with respect. When we talked to Chris in the pro shop after the round, we didn’t even get an apology. $100+ rounds to get yelled at... I think we’ll take our business elsewhere.
Avoid this golf course and Billy at all costs! He’s a bully who will ruin your round of golf.
This golf course is one of my favorite. Not too challenging but not too easy.
So beautiful when I see the fairways at the tee box. Need some works for the hole greens.
Great people and a beautiful course. The greens overall were in pretty good shape. Many had way too many unrepaired divots! Twice in my round landed in divots and cost a couple extra strokes. Always enjoy this course and its beautiful views!
Terrible. Absolutely zero idea how to keep pace of play. Paid $125 to play and had two groups of 5 in front that were holding up the entire golf course. The group that was in front was walking. A literal group of 5 walking at 2pm on a Saturday and they have zero clue to let anyone go through. The two 5 somes decided to pair up together and play a 10 some on the last two holes. It’s a total free for all. I won’t be returning.
At the beginning was told to share a cart with a stranger after I had already paid for my cart and the other gentleman had paid for his cart too. I have never been told I need to share a cart at a golf course. I’m not sure if they’re short on carts or just trying to use less of them. Definitely not what I expected going to this nice of a course.
